Bamboo Program

Australian Venue Co. introduced its Bamboo Staff program, allowing fresh faces into the hospitality industry. This program is about setting each candidate up for success and teaching them basic hospitality skills, knowledge, and safety training. It is a great opportunity for new individuals wanting to enter the hospitality industry.

What is a Bamboo team member?

Bamboo team members are staff we have recruited who are new to hospitality, with little or no experience or training in the industry. These staff will receive 2 days of intensive training before beginning at a venue, where they will have a mentor.

What is covered in Bamboo Training?

  • Australian Venue Co. induction. (Policies, procedures, health, and wellbeing).
  • Customer service and sales.
  • Glass and food runner expectations and general jobs.
  • Online SWP’s.
  • Systems & processes
  • Introductory skill sets:
    • Pre-service floor set up.
    • Pre-service bar set up.
    • 3 plate carrying.
    • Tray carrying.
    • Beer pouring.
    • Till training docket reading.
