The Bassendean Hotel had been serving the thirsty for the better part of 90 years when her doors closed for a major revitalisation back in 2020, and now, locals will be able to enjoy the iconic watering hole once again.
Known for cold beers, good conversation and being the cornerstone for the local community, the new-look-local will remain much the same at it’s core.
With the properties original features such as original fireplaces and vintage structural elements being carefully restored, as well as curated historical elements reinjected into the renovation. Working alongside local historian Jennie Carter, author of “Bassendean: A Social History 1829 – 1979”, the walls of The Bassendean will pay tribute to the community and feature a 200 strong historical image display alongside a collection of team memorabilia and more.
What else can you expect? Apart from the 6 bars, 2 kitchens and 9 signature zones named after the history of the pub and its owners, the pub will once again be the heart of the community – A local for all those close by and passing through. With the air of history still engrained in her walls, this pub is definitely something to put on your must visit list.
