Regatta Hotel

Home to legendary sporting achievements and one of the first feminist insurgencies, our Grand Lady of the Brisbane River has withstood flood, fire and more than a century of change. Despite her evolution over the years, some things remained the same: her love for a cold beer, a great steak and the people who shared in her history. Today, the Regatta family – here, interstate and abroad – return to create new stories each day. She now boasts the Boatshed, Front Bar, Courtyard, Street Café and Gaming Room, the results of a $10 million restoration following Brisbane’s 2011 floods. Her contemporary spaces also salute her history, making her a great pub that locals love. The variety, sophistication and timelessness offered by the Regatta Hotel saw her crowned the reigning “Hotel of the Year” by the Queensland Hotels Association. And now, with her own CityCat terminal, the Regatta Hotel continues to carve her unique place in history.

The Boatshed

The Boatshed restaurant has carved a niche as a symbol of stylish and relaxed gastro-pub dining, with sprawling river views and an innovative, seasonal menu. Awarded QHA’s Best Restaurant in 2017, 2018 and 2019, it’s well worth the visit.

A centrepiece of the restaurant is its stunning, two-metre long flame grill, which adds a sense of theatre as guests observe the cooking of the restaurant’s signature dry-aged steaks. With a commitment to fresh, local and seasonal produce, the selection of quality steaks is complemented by a variety of mainstays, with something to suit everyone’s tastes.

The Walrus Club

Hidden away in an underground den, lies The Walrus Club, a speakeasy bar for fine ladies and dapper gents. Authentic in its prohibition approach, The Walrus Club is designed to be a secretive escape from reality, seen in the two tasteful, stairway entry points.
The Walrus Club is known for its premium, specialty rum range, as it proudly boasts over 150 different blends including the Appleton Estate 50YO Jamaican Rum, Pusser’s English Navy Rum to name just a few. A broad range of rare and unique spirits – more than three hundred mid-range to premium drops –have been stealthily sourced from places such as local distilleries, the very far corners of the globe, and everywhere in between. As for the ladies, a decadent cocktail menu developed by our Cocktail Connoisseurs goes down a treat.
