Perths Best Venues for Baby Showers

Why is it absolutely vital that your baby shower location is awesome? Well, for starters, you don’t want the mother-to-be to feel like she could give birth at any moment in a dungeon, but more importantly, it all needs to look good on the ‘gram.

Party planners rejoice, however, as we have scoured Perth to bring you the most charming, stylish, and downright delicious venues for your upcoming baby shower. So whether you’re looking for a sophisticated soirée or a spot to party, these top six options have you covered.

Cobblers Tavern

The atmosphere at the Cobblers Tavern is always eclectic and fun. Be it due to live music or sports, this versatile venue is the perfect spot for a celebration, and its event spaces can host anywhere from 15 to 300 guests!

Have a formal sit-down dinner or a relaxed alfresco experience with ease thanks to their affordable food and drink packages, and the best part is the venue hire is always free! They even offer a complimentary bus service for groups of 10 or more if the expectant mother is tired of being the designated driver.

The main bar and courtyard areas are perfect for any style of baby shower, and the sports lounge is available for private events if the mum-to-be is likely to rock up wearing her favourite team’s scarf. For a super intimate dining experience, you can book the restaurant, which offers seating for up to 80 guests. The regular pub eats are always available, or you can choose one of the specially curated set menus.

The Bassendean Hotel

The Bassendean Hotel is a historic venue that has transformed in recent years, boasting a modern and inviting atmosphere inspired by the 90-year-old pub’s classic charm. The local favourite has family-friendly courtyards, a state-of-the-art sports bar, and a spacious balcony; all great options for baby showers of all sizes.

The Swan Room is a good choice if you’re planning a small cocktail-style celebration or a formal sit-down dinner, and the balcony offers breathtaking views, an outdoor bar, and comfortable seating, capable of up to 120 guests.

However, our favourite spot for a baby shower in The Bassendean Hotel is the Speakeasy Lounge on the second level. This vintage bar can host up to 50 guests and is available for private hire to ensure you and your crew celebrate in style. The ground-level Saloon Veranda can also be booked to ensure the pub’s energy melds with your party while you people watch.

The pub supports local food and drinks suppliers in Basso and the surrounding areas, using the best seasonal produce. The desserts from Last Crumb Cake Co. are a particular hit when it comes time to swoon at the cute presents.

The Guildford Hotel

Step back in time at The Guildford Hotel to celebrate your baby shower in this iconic 19th-century venue that perfectly blends old-world charm with contemporary design. The indoor courtyard is one of our favourite areas, and the beer garden is one of Perth’s finest! In addition, the charming atmosphere of this pub really sets a comfortable and inviting tone for your guests.

To simplify things, The Guildford Hotel’s expert events team will guide you through their many unique spaces to find the perfect option for your party sizes. Once chosen, we recommend opting for the Chef’s ‘Eat with One Hand or Two’ menu if you are going for a cocktail-style shower or the Guildford Grand Feast, which is great for sit-down showers.

The Hiscox Courtyard and 1915 Verandah are two spots that give an indoor/outdoor feel, the latter with stunning views overlooking the old Guildford town. Alternatively, the Vaudeville Room offers an intimate, charming, and private atmosphere. Be sure to ask the team about the tailored event packages, and get ready for a good time with your loved ones in a historic setting.

Victoria Park Hotel

The Victoria Park Hotel has been an iconic landmark since 1927. While it’s been around for ages, many think of it just as another pub, totally missing the fact that it is ideal for gatherings like baby showers! The venue has had some revamps and now offers a harmonious mix of modern and heritage architecture, along with a charming beer garden that is the ideal spot for catching up with friends and family.

The Victoria Park Hotel also offers The Albany Room, which has a private balcony with views of Victoria Park, a black marble bar, private bathrooms, dance floor and a DJ booth. However, if alfresco is more your style, the Albany Courtyard is your spot, and we recommend booking it at night to enjoy the twinkling fairy lights.

Finally, the Garden Bar Experience in the newly renovated beer garden has a dedicated function area, so you can party in style with the giant swan (you’ll see what we mean).

The Peninsula Mandurah

Nestled in the heart of Mandurah, The Pen offers a wonderful waterfront setting that allows for a laid-back baby shower. With local entertainment, sports, and a delicious menu, the venue is always a popular destination for locals, which creates a fun and welcoming atmosphere for you and your guests.

The Peninsula Mandurah has a friendly functions team that can assist in creating the perfect shower, with a choice of private dining, a cocktail-style event in the beer garden, or a section on the vergola. The beer garden offers waterfront views, is perfect for warm weather, and can accommodate 30 to 150 people. However, if the weather is less-than-sunny, the glass-walled, water-facing vergola is suitable for events throughout the year and can hold up to 70 guests; same views and less rain!

The restaurant is the perfect choice for a more intimate and private dining experience. Tables can be arranged for up to 80 people for a sit-down dining experience, and The Pen offers a set menu starting at $56 for two courses or $66 for three. Either way, your guests will be treated to a mix of pub classics and coastal dining, using the best in WA produce and seasonal ingredients (the grazing plates and epic cocktails are most certainly the standouts).

Raffles Hotel

Keeping close to the water, Raffles Hotel is an iconic riverside venue located in the picturesque suburb of Applecross. The venue boasts breathtaking views of the Swan and Canning rivers and an elegant art deco fit-out with brushed gold features, the perfect setting for a baby shower. The menu is inspired by traditional pub classics with a modern Italian twist, utilising Western Australia’s best produce.

From small and big plates to premium cuts from the charcoal oven, it’s all good, but the famous Raffles pizzas take the cake! The talented chefs work hard to source the best local and sustainable produce, resulting in delicious and outstanding pub food.

The Raffles Hotel offers function spaces across two levels, maximising the stunning riverside views. Whether you’re planning a sit-down or cocktail-style event, the dedicated functions and events team can guide you through creating a tailored package that meets your specific needs.

For spaces, choose from the intimate Kitson Room, perfect for private showers, or the stunning Riverside Room, featuring panoramic views of the Swan River. For more relaxed and casual showers, the Raffles Bar and Al Fresco area are the best picks. Raffles is always ready to have a chat, and you can schedule a viewing to make sure you find the perfect location for your shower.
