The Guildford Hotel

You can tick the ‘something old’ requirement for your wedding day off the list by holding it at The Guildford Hotel. This brilliant 19th-century landmark makes a statement and sets a certain classic aesthetic all on its own. It offers a number of unique spaces and the famous ‘Eat with One Hand or Two’ menu, perfect for cocktail style shindig.

The Guildford Hotel has a few spaces on offer:

  • The Vaudeville Room: A stunning old-world chamber with exposed brick walls, wooden floorboards and arched doorways. Named after the original Vaudeville Theatre, which can be seen through the arched windows, this exclusive private room holds up to 100 people. It also has a welcome area for drinks before the reception begins.
  • The 1915 Verandah: You and up to 60 guests will overlook old Guildford town from a gorgeous façade that still features the original 1915 spiral staircase. The standout of this area is the internal platform that provides views over the James and Johnston Streets and is easily one of the most unique areas of the hotel.
  • Hiscox Courtyard: Smaller weddings of around 50 people will love the Hiscox Courtyard, located on the ground floor. This indoor/outdoor space is the perfect way to add a little sunshine to your reception.

The Guildford Hotel is filled with old charm and historical touches, offering a menu that creates pub classics with a modern twist. If you love the feel of a historic setting, this is the venue for you.

Victoria Park Hotel

Smaller, intimate weddings will love celebrating in the heart of Victoria Park in a space that blends modern and heritage architecture. The Victoria Park Hotel is a cozy space with an impressive beverage selection and delicious menu. Larger weddings are also catered for at this locally-adored spot.

The Albany Room is the section for the big events, handling up to 200 people (standing) and overlooking Victoria Park from the balcony. The space has a black marble bar, private bathrooms, and dance floor and can be set up for seating with a maximum capacity of 100.

The Albany Courtyard is an alfresco area located at the front of the venue with a maximum capacity of 70. Cocktail-style weddings are well suited to this section in one of Perth’s best-kept secrets, which has been standing since 1927 and brings all of the era’s architectural charm to your big day.

The Claremont Hotel

Restored, modernised, and completely reimagined with contemporary architecture paying homage to its heritage. This iconic location offers a variety of unique spaces for any size and style of function.

The Claremont Hotel features a bright and airy rooftop bar, family friendly courtyard, intimate evening nook and character-filled Grevillea room with a private bar for exclusive functions. Situated in the heart of Claremont on Bay View Terrace, this venue is ideal for engagements, bridal showers and weddings of up to 250 guests.

Wolf Lane

While our top four venues are by no means ranked, we may have saved our favourite for last. If you have up to 120 guests and want something a bit unique and cool for your wedding, we recommend the open-plan layout of Wolf Lane. The walls are adorned with painted murals, rustic exposed brick walls and eclectic antique collectables.

Quirky but romantic, Wolf Lane offers an ambient fairytale setting, canapes, food stations and amazing cocktails. You can even include a Lolly Cupboard Candy Buffet or Hansel & Gretel’s Donut Bar for a bit of extra fun.

The dedicated team at Wolf Lane will help you combine their unique small bar experience with the twisted storybook wedding of your dreams. If you feel like something alternative but truly memorable, Wolf Lane is your wedding venue.
