International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate women’s achievements and to advocate for gender equality
For International Women’s Day 2024, our team members came together across Australia and New Zealand to celebrate the incredible women in our organisation.
Our event focused on empowering women and fostering community across our business. We understand that there is an industry wide gender imbalance, particularly in the back of house. We are committed to achieving gender equality and accelerating the advancement of women in leadership.
Events were hosted by women senior leaders and set at our pubs and bars across the country. This included Perth’s The Globe, Melbourne’s Morris House, Adelaide’s The Unley and more.
The event kicked off with a speech from our senior leader hosts and a video showcasing some of the incredible women in our organisation. The day was an opportunity for our teams to get together and connect over delicious canapes and drinks.
Meg, Venue Manager at Trinket (VIC) created a delicious cocktail to be served to our teams on arrival. We are so lucky to have such talented team members.
Overall, the event was a huge success, and we are so happy to have the opportunity to celebrate and uplift all the incredible women of AVC and NZVC.
