What’s the best part of Australian Venue Co? Easy, our people and our pubs. Between the two, the stories that could be shared are endless.

This Mother’s Day we’re celebrating our mums, from the ones bar-side pouring your favourite beer to the ones desk-side making it possible.

There’s nothing better than a mother/daughter duo, especially when they’re helping run our venues. So, let us introduce some of them.

Meet Michelle, Assistant Venue Manager at the Wallaby Hotel in Queensland. And her daughter, Shannon, a 30-minute drive down the road also heads the Coomera Lodge Hotel as its Venue Manager. The pair don’t just work in our pubs but also volunteer as lifesavers in their local community! Is there anything these two can’t do?

Next up is Nicole – mum, grandmother and Duty Manager at The Rook in Sydney who works alongside her own daughter, Jade, who has recently become a mum herself. The two are both juggling work-life balance whilst helping run one of Sydney’s epic rooftop bars.

And we really did mean it when we said we couldn’t do it without them – juggling two at home (three if husbands are included), and an office full of staff, Mia is our Head of Sales and doesn’t just fill our pub’s seats but her kitchen’s as well.
