Weekly food grabs that won't drain your budget...

A tough decision to make is where to go for a bite to eat in Sydney, then add in the layer of finding something affordable that won’t compromise on quality, and you’ve just made it almost impossible.

Good thing you’ve come to us first before wasting anymore time, we’ve done the grueling work for you and here are our top contenders for “all of the taste with less of the spend” weekly specials around the CBD.

1. Little Pearl

To start off, let’s take a side-step over to Manly. Little Pearl is a tasty seaside spot that you need to put on high rotation.

We’re keeping this simple; food is mouth-watering, and the drinks are so good they’ll cure whatever bad week your having*. *not fact but it’s worth a shot… responsibly…

Their Happy Hour isn’t just limited to drinks, enjoy a Chef’s Plate, spritzes and local wines/beers every weekday from 4-6pm.

And plan your lunch break with their Lunch Break in mind, 3 courses to make any weekday go that little bit quicker.

But the pièce de résistance is how they’ll help maximise your weekend fun. Without maxing out your card.

An After Dinner Club every Friday and Saturday night will get you Espresso Martinis, Amaretto Sours, Negronis and complimentary snacks from 9-11pm. And tack on 2 for 1 Margs every Sunday from 3-6pm and you’ve got everything you need!

2. The Rook

Back to the CBD we go and with an easy, no-bull, reliable Happy Hour that isn’t here to suck your bank account dry. Head to The Rook every Monday to Friday for a list of tasty specials that include Aperol Spritzes, Elderflower Spritzes, schooners and house wines.

3. Henleys

And for an option that covers your entire week which will be equal parts yummy and convenient…

Parma Night every Monday from 5pm

Express Lunch, for those “too busy but still need to eat” days. Monday to Friday from 12-2pm

And another trusty Happy Hour, every weekday from 4-6pm

4. Bungalow8

Capping your week off and gearing you up for a night out is Bungalow 8’s Friday Knockoffs… we’re talking spritzes, frozen cocktails, house pints, wines and snacks!

5. Cargo Bar

Known as your late-night haven over the weekend, it can also double as your secret assassin during the week. Cargo is helping you watch your budget whilst not compromising on a social life…

Never Fear We’ve Got Pizza & Beer on Mondays = half priced pizzas and house schooners

Roses Are Red, Tacos Are Delicious on Tuesdays = half-priced tacos and choice from select frozen or classic margs

We Don’t Give A Schnitzel on Wednesdays = Chicken parma and a schooner or glass of wine

Your Bun In A Million on Thursdays = Burger and a schooner or glass of wine

And finally, Fridays are for #WTF happy hours, sipping on bevs from 7-9pm

6. The Winery

Last but certainly not least, this is arguably one of our favourites. Through the leafy laneway that makes you feel like you’re escaping the hustle and bustle, The Winery has a two-course lunch accompanied by shared plates every weekday from 12-3pm.

It’s the perfect midday getaway that doesn’t require your Out of Office.

That's all folks...

Now that we’ve handed over our secret weapons, they can be yours too. But don’t forget that things might change so make sure you double check your chosen destinations website before heading out.
